Tour de Frights - the Haunted Halloween Tour
Thursday, October 31st, Friday, November 1st,
and Saturday, November 2nd, 6:00 pm - midnight $99
Join us on the scariest bike tour ever, and we're not talking about New York City traffic! This safe and leisurely paced bike tour will take you through the streets of Manhattan on an evening during Halloween weekend. We'll enjoy the lively atmosphere in the Village, the Lower East Side, Soho, the Meatpacking District, Times Square, and Hell's Kitchen as those in costume take to the streets in pursuit of the many Halloween parties the city has to offer. This tour will explore some of Manhattan's spookiest graveyards and we'll learn about the assorted haunted bars and homes hidden in plain sight. After this tour, you'll never look at the layered history of New York the same again!
The Goblin Gazette. called this ride "Absolutely Frightening!" And, The Purgatory Post called it "a veritable feast of haunted New York; an evening full of spooks and spokes, ghouls and gears, and witches on wheels!"
With the addition of several scary and shocking detours along the way, this route is similar to our Friday Night Lights Tour (Tour F). A visit to Mark Twain's former home will make you understand why it has been referred to as the "House of Death." As you pass Peter Stuyvesant's grave, the sight of his ghost will make your hair stand on end. A peek inside some of the oldest drinking holes in the city, like the Landmark Tavern, Ye Waverly Inn, White Horse Tavern, and more, will reveal why so many men and women (sober and otherwise!) claim to witness signs of the afterlife lurking just behind the rail. They say New York City is now cleaner and safer than it was in years past but visits to aging theatres, churches, hospitals, and old shipyards may have you thinking otherwise!
Come in costume (as long as it's safe for riding) or just come with a smile (and a penchant for a good scream!).
6:00pm - Midnight.
$99 per person. Guides, bikes, helmets and candy included! There will be a snack/drink stop a few hours into the ride (cost not included).
Note: after we receive your payment, you will receive an email with the full details of your tour within about 24 hours.
